BIS Technical Assistant (LAB) Trade Test Notice/ Schedule
Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is going to conduct written test for the posts of Assistant, UDC, Stenographer, Technicians. The written exam is scheduled to be held on 20, 21 February 2016. Earlier Bureau of Indian Standards had completed the process of getting applications. For appearing in this test, aspirants have to download the admit card from here. Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the statutory body functioning under the administrative control of the Govt. of India, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (Department of Consumer Affairs) and responsible for activities in the field of Standardization, Product and System Certification, Hallmarking of Gold/Silver Jewellery, Laboratory Testing, etc. in the country.

The address of the venue will be intimated through call letters to be sent by email. All the important details like exam venue, roll number, date and time etc. had been mentioned in them. Earlier Bureau of Indian Standards had invited applications for Assistant, Clerk, Jr. Stenographer, Steno, Technician posts.
In the examination hall as well as at the time of interview, the call letter along with original and a photocopy of the candidate’s currently valid photo identity (bearing exactly the same name as it appears on the call letter) such as PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving Licence/ Voter’s Card/ Bank Passbook with photograph/ Photo identity proof issued by a Gazzetted Officer on official letterhead along with photograph / Photo identity proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead along with photograph / valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognized College/ University/ Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID with photograph should be submitted to the invigilator for verification. E-Aadhar Card and Ration Card are not valid id proofs for this project.

Here are the important dates of this exam:
Registration of applications From 12.01.2016 (09:00 hrs) to 01.02.2016 (23:59 hrs)
Application Fee Payment (on-line) From 12.01.2016 (09:00 hrs) to 01.02.2016 (23:59 hrs)
BIS Admit card release date : 15.2.2016 (Tentative)
BIS Exam date : 20.02.2016 and 21.2.2016.
Result of Online Examination : 31.3.2016 (Tentative).
The admit card / call letter of BIS will be available for download from 15 February 2016.

About BIS Call letter 2016

The Centre, venue address, post applied for, date and time for examination/skill test/trade test/ interview shall be intimated in the respective Call Letter. A candidate who has registered successfully should download his/her call letter from the BIS’s website www.bis.org.in by entering his/ her details i.e. Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. No hard copy of the call letter/ Information Handout will be sent by post/ courier.
Intimations will be sent by email and/ sms to the email ID and mobile number registered in the online application form.

The written examination consists of multiple choice objective type.
Cut off score : For the posts of Jr. Stenographer; Stenographer; Upper Division Clerk; and Senior Technician, each candidate will have to secure minimum 50% marks out of total maximum marks in the competitive online examination, to be considered to be called for skill test/trade test, as the case may be.

For the post of Technical Assistant (Lab), each candidate will have to secure minimum 50% marks in the test of “Technical Knowledge of concerned Discipline” and minimum fifty percent marks out of the total maximum marks in the competitive on-line examination, to be considered to be called for trade test / interview, as the case may be;

In order to download the admit card for BIS exam, candidates need to visit the direct link provided here (after release). It will take you directly to download page. Then candidates need to enter their registration details and click submit.
Their BIS Admit card 2016 will be shown to them. After the reporting time specified on the call letter for Examination, candidates will not be permitted to take the examination.
Candidates have to produce in original the photo identity proof and submit photocopy of the photo identity proof along with Examination call letter as well as the Interview Call Letter while attending the examination/ interview respectively, without which they will not be allowed to take up the examination/ interview.
candidates have to take a print of it. after printing, they should follow all the instructions given on it and follow them accordingly. This admit card is to be bought at the time of examination mentioned in it. No candidate would be permitted to enter the exam hall without it.
